47 Government bodies and diplomats
No duty is chargeable under this Chapter in respect of a transfer of dutiable property to—
the Crown in right of Victoria; or
S. 47(1)(b) amended by No. 9/2020 s. 390(Sch. 1 item 27).
a Council within the meaning of the Local Government Act 2020; or
the Municipal Association of Victoria; or
S. 47(1)(d) repealed by No. 36/2010 s. 6.

an authority within the meaning of the Water Act 1989; or
any person on behalf of any of the above persons.
No duty is chargeable under this Chapter in respect of a transfer of dutiable property to—
the representative in Australia of the government of another country; or
a foreign consul; or
a trade commissioner of any part of the British Commonwealth.
