Secretary's powers of employment

In force

(1)

For the purposes of this Act, there shall be staff employed by the Secretary under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004.

(2)

Subject to section 2.5.5(1A), any staff employed for the purposes of the following provisions must be employed by the Secretary under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004—

(a)

Part 2.5;

(b)

Division 1 of Part 3.1;

(c)

Division 2 of Part 3.3;

(d)

Chapter 4;

(e)

this Chapter.

Note

Section 2.5.5(1A) allows the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority to employ staff for limited purposes.

Staff employed for the purposes of Part 2.6A, in addition to any staff employed by the Secretary in the teaching service under Part 2.4, must be employed by the Secretary under Part 3 of the Public Administration Act 2004.
