205 High voltage electrical installation work
Before commencing any electrical installation work related to the installation, alteration or repair of a high voltage electrical installation, the person who is to carry out the work must ensure that the design of that installation work has been verified in writing as complying with AS 2067 and AS/NZS 7000 (if applicable) by a competent person who was not involved in the design of the installation work.
Note
Regulation 257 prohibits a licensed electrical inspector involved with the independent verification of proposed high voltage installation work from inspecting that work when completed.
Subregulation (1) does not apply to the repair or maintenance of a high voltage electrical installation provided that the repair or maintenance does not alter the original design of that installation.
A person carrying out high voltage electrical installation work must comply with the requirements of the Blue Book when carrying out that work.
