55 Chairperson of each Regional Emergency Management Planning Committee
Every 2 years, or when determined by each Regional Emergency Management Planning Committee, the members of each Committee must elect one of their number (irrespective of whether that person is referred to in section 54(1)(a) or (b)) to be chairperson of that Committee.
The chairperson of each Regional Emergency Management Planning Committee has the following functions—
chairing meetings of the Regional Emergency Management Planning Committee;
facilitating the Regional Emergency Management Planning Committee to perform its functions;

on behalf of the Regional Emergency Management Planning Committee, providing information and recommendations to the Emergency Management Commissioner;
