The provisions specified in subsection (2) do not apply to the sale of residential property by an auction or fixed-date sale held within 14 days after the commencement day.
For the purposes of subsection (1), the specified provisions are—
section 47AF as amended by section 25 of the amending Act; and
section 47C as amended by section 27 of the amending Act; and
sections 47AG, 47AH and 47AI as inserted by section 26 of the amending Act.
Sections 47AF and 47C as in force immediately before the commencement day continue to apply to the sale of residential property referred to in subsection (1).
In this section—
amending Act means the Consumer Legislation Amendment Act 2026;
commencement day means 1 October 2026.
