In this Division—
S. 60A def. of application or appeal relating to bail amended by No. 1/2026 s. 3(a).
application or appeal relating to bail means any of the following under the Bail Act 1977—
an application for bail;
an application to vary conditions of bail;
an application to extend bail;
an application to revoke bail;
an appeal under section 18A;
an appeal under section 18AG;
S. 60A def. of relevant party inserted by No. 1/2026 s. 3(b).
relevant party means, in a criminal proceeding, the party who—
is accused; or
has been found guilty; or
is appealing having been found guilty; or
has had their finding of guilt set aside on appeal.
