Provision
Preamble
WHEREAS by virtue of the Flemington Land Act 1973 (in this Act called "the earlier Act") the corporation of the City of Melbourne was declared as the committee of management of land in the Parish of Doutta Galla referred to in a Crown grant entered in the register book in the Office of Titles volume 2441 folium 488130 dated the 4th day of October, 1889:
AND WHEREAS by virtue of the earlier Act the said committee of management was empowered to grant leases of the whole or any part of the land delineated and shown hatched on the plan in the Schedule to that Act for the purposes of a bowling green and amenities connected therewith including the erection of buildings:
AND WHEREAS the portion of the said land so shown hatched on that plan is leased to the Flemington and Kensington Bowling Club:
AND WHEREAS it is expedient to authorize for the purposes stated in the earlier Act certain leases of the whole or any part of a further portion of the said land referred to in the said Crown grant and which is delineated and shown hatched on the plan in the Schedule to this Act.
