Interference with pipeline, gas installation or meter assembly

(1)

A person must not knowingly, recklessly or negligently break, injure, open or tamper with any pipeline, gas installation or meter assembly.

Penalty: In the case of a natural person, 60 penalty units;

In the case of a body corporate, 300 penalty units.

(2)

This section does not apply to any person lawfully carrying out gas work in respect of the pipeline, gas installation or meter assembly.
