Great Ocean Road and Environs Protection Act 2020

Before a strategy is prepared under section 62PA or an amendment is prepared under section 62PB, the Authority must—

consult with—

any Department or public authority whose interests may be affected by the strategy or amendment; and

any specified aboriginal party for any area affected by the strategy or amendment; and

make a draft of the strategy or amendment available for inspection by the public for at least 28 days before it is prepared; and

publish a notice in a newspaper circulating generally in the State setting out where and when the draft can be inspected and inviting public comment by the date specified in the notice; and

publish the draft on the Internet site of the Authority; and

have regard to any submissions made to the Authority on the draft strategy or amendment by the date specified in the notice.

Subsection (1) does not apply to any amendment of the land management strategy that is of a machinery, declaratory or minor and technical nature.
