34 Terms and conditions of appointment
S. 34(1) amended by No. 52/2017 s. 10(1).
A director of a board of a public hospital holds office for the term, not exceeding three years, specified in the instrument of appointment and is eligible for re-appointment, subject to section 34A.

A director of a board is entitled to be paid—

expenses incurred in holding office as a director of the board; and
such remuneration as is specified in the instrument of appointment.

Despite subsection (2)(b), a director of a board who is also a member of the Legislative Council or a member of the Legislative Assembly is not entitled to be paid remuneration as a director of the board.
