Objectives

In force

The objectives of these Regulations are—

(a)

to provide for the quality and safety of care of patients receiving health services in or from health service establishments by prescribing—

(i)

requirements for staffing; and

(ii)

procedures for the handling of complaints; and

(iii)

records to be kept; and

(iv)

reporting requirements; and

(v)

requirements for health service establishment protocols for quality and safety; and

(vi)

other requirements to ensure the welfare of patients; and

(b)

to prescribe fees, forms and other matters required to be prescribed under the Health Services Act 1988 in relation to health service establishments.
