43 Information provided to patient transport
The proprietor of a health service establishment must ensure that the crew of a vehicle used by a non-emergency patient transport service or by an ambulance service to transport a patient from the health service establishment is provided with—
handover notes in writing in relation to the patient's clinical condition; and
a copy of any advance care directive given by the patient in accordance with the Medical Treatment Planning and Decisions Act 2016.
In this regulation—
non-emergency patient transport service has the same meaning as in the Non‑Emergency Patient Transport and First Aid Services Act 2003;
ambulance service has the same meaning as in the Ambulance Services Act 1986.
