24 Requirement to be reasonably available and active
(1)
A justice of the peace must be reasonably available and reasonably active in the performance of his or her duties as a justice of the peace.
(2)
A bail justice must—
(a)
be reasonably available to be rostered for duty as a bail justice; and
(b)
when rostered for duty as a bail justice, be reasonably available to perform the duties of a bail justice.
(3)
Subsection (2) does not apply to a bail justice referred to in section 18.
