5 Objects of Act

The objects of this Act are to—

(a)

enhance the compliance of the IBAC and IBAC personnel with the Independent Broad-based Anti-corruption Commission Act 2011 and other laws; and

(b)

assist in improving the capacity of the IBAC and IBAC personnel in the performance of their duties and functions and the exercise of their powers; and

(c)

monitor compliance by a Public Interest Monitor with the prescribed obligations; and

(d)

provide for the independent oversight of VAGO officers; and

(e)

provide for the independent oversight of Ombudsman officers; and

provide for the independent oversight of the Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission and Parliamentary Workplace Standards and Integrity Commission officers; and

provide for the independent oversight of the Chief Examiner and Examiners; and

provide for the independent oversight of officers of the Office of the Victorian Information Commissioner; and

(h)

monitor the use of coercive powers under the Judicial Commission of Victoria Act 2016; and
