34 Tabling of recommendation statement
The Attorney-General must cause a statement to be laid before each House of the Parliament in relation to any own motion recommendation specifying—
whether the Attorney-General intends to accept, vary or accept only part of the own motion recommendation; and
if the Attorney-General does not accept the own motion recommendation give reasons for the non-acceptance.
If the Attorney-General intends to vary an own motion recommendation or accept only part of an own motion recommendation, the recommendation statement must give the Attorney-General's reasons for varying the own motion recommendation or accepting only part of the own motion recommendation.
A recommendation statement must be laid before each House of the Parliament by no later than the first sitting day after 4 months from the tabling of the own motion recommendation report under section 33.
