Liquor Control Reform Act 1998

When recommending persons for appointment as commissioners, the Minister must ensure as far as is practicable that collectively the commissioners have the following—

health sector experience, including experience in public health or psychology;

regulatory experience;

public policy experience;

at least 5 years' practice as an Australian legal practitioner;

any other qualifications, experience or expertise that the Minister considers relevant.

Despite subsection (1), a person is not eligible to be appointed as a commissioner if the person has, at any time in the previous 2 years, been the subject of a disqualification determination under section 93D.
