59 Livestock operators and employers responsible for the acts of their employees and contractors
(1)
A livestock operator or employer is liable under this Act for anything done or not done by an employee or contractor in the course of carrying out the regulated livestock management activity of the livestock operator or employer.
(2)
It is a defence to any offence under this Act or the regulations if the person who committed the contravention did so under the instruction or direction of a livestock operator or the person's employer.
