22 Notice of election
Reg. 22(1) amended by S.R. No. 57/2024 reg. 9.
Not less than 50 days before an election, the VEC must publish a public notice of the election.
The public notice must—
specify that nominations will be received at the place or places specified in the public notice by the VEC during the period beginning on the day that the certified voters' roll becomes available and ending at 12 noon on nomination day; and
indicate the week in which postal ballot envelopes are likely to be posted or delivered to voters; and
specify when voting closes; and
describe how a voter may request an early postal vote; and
describe how a voter may apply for the redirection of the voter's postal ballot envelope; and
state the last day on which a redirection request may be lodged.
