27 Responding to a compliance notice
If a person receives a compliance notice and disagrees with the compliance notice, the person has 14 days from the date of the receipt of the compliance notice to provide a written response to the Commissioner outlining the person's reasons for disagreeing with the compliance notice.
After considering a response under subsection (1), the Commissioner may, by notice in writing—
withdraw the compliance notice; or
confirm the compliance notice.
If the compliance notice is confirmed—
the notice must specify a period within which the person must comply; and
the person must comply within that period.
