Monetary Units Act 2004

Despite sections 5 and 6, for the financial year commencing on 1 July 2012—

the value of a fee unit is $12.53; and

the value of a penalty unit is $140.84.

Any reference in this Act or any other Act or statutory rule to the value of a fee unit or penalty unit calculated in accordance with section 5(3) is to be treated for the financial year commencing on 1 July 2012 as a reference to the value of a fee unit or penalty unit as provided by subsection (1).

Despite section 5, the annual rate for the financial year commencing on 1 July 2012 is taken to be 2⋅5%.

Any reference in this Act or any other Act or statutory rule to the annual rate fixed in accordance with section 5(4) for the financial year commencing on 1 July 2012 is to be treated as a reference to the annual rate as provided by subsection (3).
