Newhaven Land Act 1971

An Act to authorize the Granting of Leases of certain Land in the Township of Newhaven, Parish of Phillip Island.

WHEREAS the land delineated on the plan of the Schedule is part of the land permanently reserved by Order in Council of 23rd April 1929 as a site for public purposes:

AND WHEREAS it is expedient to authorize the Governor in Council to grant leases of the said land:

This Act may be cited as the Newhaven Land Act 1971.

Notwithstanding the provisions of section 18 of the Land Act 1958, the Governor in Council may in accordance with the provisions of section 134 of the said Act grant leases of the land delineated on the plan of the Schedule.

The Newhaven Land Act 1971 was assented to on 3 November 1971 and came into operation on 3 November 1971.

There are no amendments made to the Newhaven Land Act 1971 by Acts and subordinate instruments.
