17 Chairperson
(1)
The Minister may appoint as chairperson a person who the Minister considers has a sufficient knowledge of outwork practices in the clothing industry to ensure that the work of the Council is efficiently performed.
(2)
The chairperson must not be a person who represents an employer, employees or outworkers in the clothing industry or a person who has a direct financial interest in the clothing industry.
