Petroleum Act 1998

The applicant for a retention lease must cause notice of the application to be published—

in a newspaper circulating generally in Victoria; and

on an Internet site maintained by the applicant.

A notice under subsection (1) must—

contain details of the area in respect of which the retention lease is sought, including a description and plan of the area; and

state that any person may make a written submission to the Minister about the application during the prescribed period; and

contain any prescribed information.

The Secretary must make a copy of the application and all information accompanying the application available for inspection by the public in a place and form approved by the Minister.
