83 Minister may exempt gathering line from Pipelines Act

The Minister may exempt a gathering line from the application of the Pipelines Act 2005.
The Minister—
may only grant an exemption in writing; and
may require that certain conditions be met before she or he grants the exemption; and

may exempt the gathering line wholly from the Pipelines Act 2005 or from specified provisions of that Act; and
may impose conditions that must be complied with to maintain the exemption.

The Pipelines Act 2005 does not apply to a gathering line to the extent set out in any exemption granted under this section.
