38 Notifying start and end of petroleum operation
For the purposes of section 179(c) of the Act, the holder of an authority must notify the Minister of the proposed commencement date of a petroleum operation carried out under the authority at least 10 days before the petroleum operation is to commence.
Note
Under section 179 of the Act, a person who contravenes this subregulation is liable to a penalty not exceeding 60 penalty units.
For the purposes of section 179(c) of the Act, the holder of an authority must notify the Minister of the completion date of a petroleum operation carried out under the authority within 10 days after that completion.
