Power of Minister to give directions

In force

If the Minister considers that is necessary to do so in an emergency, the Minister may, in writing, direct any person—

(a)

to cease to operate a pipeline, if the Minister considers it is necessary to do so for safety reasons; or

(b)

to do any thing the Minister considers necessary to make a pipeline safe; or

(c)

to do or cease to do any other thing in relation to a pipeline operation that the Minister considers necessary for the protection or rehabilitation of the environment or for the health or safety of the public.
