Penalty for offence under this Act

A person who, in or in connexion with any claim for compensation under this Act, wilfully makes any false statement to or otherwise wilfully misleads or attempts to mislead the Minister the County Court, the Magistrates' Court, the Victorian Civil and Administrative Tribunal, a police officer or any other person shall be guilty of an offence and shall be liable to a fine of 5 penalty units or imprisonment for three months or to both such fine and imprisonment.
