71 Vacancies
The office of any member of the Board shall become vacant—
at the expiration of his term of office;
if he dies;
if he is incapable of continuing a member;

if he resigns in writing under his hand addressed to the Minister;

if without leave granted by the Minister he fails to attend three successive meetings of the Board;

if he accepts or holds any place of profit under the Board;
S. 71(1)(eb) inserted by No. 9201 s. 12(b).
if he fails to comply with the provisions of section 75A(1); or
if his appointment is terminated by the Governor in Council.
If the office of a member of the Board becomes vacant otherwise than by the retirement of such member at the expiration of his term of office a qualified person shall in accordance with this Division be appointed to fill the extraordinary vacancy.

Any person appointed to fill an extraordinary vacancy holds office for the period, not exceeding 3 years, which is specified in the instrument of his or her appointment.
