Suburban Rail Loop Act 2021

For the purposes of undertaking the Suburban Rail Loop program, the Authority has the functions and powers of a project authority under Divisions 1 and 2 of Part 7 of the Major Transport Projects Facilitation Act 2009.

For the purposes of subsection (1)—

a reference to a project authority is to be read a reference to the Authority; and

a reference to the development of the declared project is to be read as a reference to the undertaking of the Suburban Rail Loop program; and

section 211A of that Act is to be read as if—

a reference to the project area in that section were a reference to the area of land that the Authority considers may form part of a project area under this Act; and

in subsection (2)(a) of that section, the words "or that the project authority considers may form part of the project area" were omitted.
