Police detaining person under a police detention decision

(1)

This section applies if—

(a)

a number of police officers are detaining, or involved in the detention of, a person under this Part at a particular time; and

(b)

a power or obligation is expressed in this Part to be conferred or imposed on the police officer detaining the person.

(2)

For the purposes of this Part, the power or obligation is conferred or imposed at that time on the most senior of those police officers.
