34 Adjournment to allow special counsel to communicate with subject
The Supreme Court may adjourn the hearing of a protection application to allow a special counsel appointed under section 32 to communicate with the subject of the substantive application or hearing, or a representative of the subject, in accordance with section 33.
The relevant court may adjourn the hearing of the relevant part of—
the hearing of a substantive application; or
an SEO review hearing—
to allow a special counsel appointed under section 32 to communicate with the subject of the substantive application or hearing, or a representative of the subject, in accordance with section 33.
Nothing in this section limits any other power of the Supreme Court or any other court to adjourn a proceeding.
