Transport Integration Act 2010

In section 1(1) of the Transport Act 1983 for "Transport Act 1983" substitute "Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983".

On and after the commencement of this section, any reference in any Act (other than this Act), regulation, subordinate instrument or other document whatsoever to the Transport Act 1983 is to be construed as a reference to the Transport (Compliance and Miscellaneous) Act 1983, unless the contrary intention appears.

The Transport Act 1983 is amended as set out in an item or a provision of an item in Schedule 3 on the commencement of that item or provision.

Except as in this Act expressly or by necessary implication provided, all persons, things and circumstances appointed or created by or under the Transport Act 1983 or existing or continuing under that Act immediately before the commencement of this section continue under and subject to this Act to have the same status, operation and effect as they respectively would have had if that Act had not been amended by this Act.

Nothing in this section limits or otherwise affects the operation of the Interpretation of Legislation Act 1984.
