Secretary subject to general direction and control of the Minister

In force

(1)

The Secretary—

(a)

is subject to the general direction and control of the Minister; and

(b)

must comply with any specific direction given by the Minister.

(2)

The Minister cannot give the Secretary any direction as to the quantum of any amount payable under section 68 of the Rail Management Act 1996 for breach of a civil penalty provision within the meaning of that section.
