On the commencement date, a college referred to in the definition of head of an affiliated college in section 3 of the old Act and in existence immediately before that date—
(a)
is taken to be an affiliated college within the meaning of this Act established in accordance with section 21 with the same name as it had before that date; and
(b)
may continue its functions and operation in accordance with this Act.
