63 Membership of the Board
The Board consists of 9 members nominated by the Minister and appointed by the Governor in Council.
Of the persons appointed to the Board—
4 must be registered veterinary practitioners; and
one must be a registered veterinary practitioner employed by the Crown and nominated by the Minister; and
S. 63(2)(c) substituted by No. 22/2022 s. 188.
one must be a registered veterinary practitioner with experience in veterinary education or the continuing professional development of veterinary practitioners; and
one must be a lawyer; and
2 must be persons who are not veterinary practitioners.
The Minister must have regard to a person's expertise or experience in one or more of the following in nominating persons for membership of the Board under paragraph (e)—
finance and business management;
legal practice;
the use of veterinary services.
