70 No further action to be taken in relation to access to voluntary assisted dying if application to VCAT in existence
If an application has been made to VCAT under section 68(1) for review of a decision in respect of a person—
if the request and assessment process in relation to the person has not been completed it is suspended for the period during which the application is in existence; and
the co-ordinating medical practitioner for the person must not apply for a voluntary assisted dying permit for the person while the application is in existence; and
any application for a voluntary assisted dying permit, for the person is suspended for the period during which the application is in existence; and
any voluntary assisted dying permit that the person is the subject of is suspended for the period during which the application is in existence, other than the following authorisations in respect of a self-administration permit—
an authorisation under section 45(b) to possess or store the voluntary assisted dying substance;
an authorisation under section 45(c) or (d).
