177 Testing etc. of waste
A person authorised by an Authority to do so may—
at any reasonable time, but in an emergency at any time, enter land and—
measure flows of trade waste; or
take samples of any trade waste that is to be received by the Authority or of any matter used or produced in a process involving trade waste, and analyse those samples; or
inspect any fittings, private works and works ancillary to them that are used or provided for conveying trade waste to the Authority's sewerage system; and
require any person to supply any information relating to any trade waste that is to be received by the Authority or any matter used or produced in a process involving trade waste.
Powers conferred by subsection (1) are in addition to any other powers of an Authority.
A person must not disclose any information supplied to the person as required under subsection (1)(b) unless that disclosure is made—
to the Authority; or
for the purposes of legal proceedings; or
with the consent of the person who supplied the information.
