22N Review by Environment Protection Authority
The Minister must cause the draft assessment to be submitted to the Environment Protection Authority for a review of—
the methods and criteria adopted to carry out the assessment; and
any other matter required by the Minister.
In reviewing the draft assessment the Environment Protection Authority must review—
the methodology adopted to carry out the draft assessment; and
whether or not the data used in the draft assessment was the best data available; and
whether or not the conclusions reached in the draft assessment are supported by the methodology and data; and
any other matter required by the Minister.
At the completion of the review, the Environment Protection Authority must—
report its findings to the Minister;
make a copy of its report available on the Authority's website.
The Environment Protection Authority must ensure that the report under subsection (3)(a) is made within the period specified by the Minister, which must be not later than 4 months after the draft assessment is submitted to the Authority under subsection (1).
