64L Power to grant water-use licences
The Minister, on receiving an application under this Division from an owner of land, may grant to that person a licence that authorises—
the use of water (authorised to be taken under Part 3A) for the purposes of irrigation on the land that is owned by that person and that is specified in the licence; and
the use of water (authorised to be taken under Part 3A) on the land specified in the licence for any other purposes that are specified in the licence.
The Minister must set out in the licence—
the name and address of the licence holder; and
a description of the land specified in the licence; and
the conditions to which the licence is subject (including the annual use limit); and
the date on which the licence takes effect.
