100C Inspection of insurer's records

An insurer shall when requested to do so by the Authority or a person authorized in writing in that behalf by the Authority, forthwith produce to that person such books and records as are kept by the insurer in relation to claims which arise under the Act as are specified by the person requiring the production.
A person to whom a document is produced under subsection (1) may examine the document in relation to any matter under this Part or under sections 2B or 2C and may take copies of or extracts from the document.
An insurer who without reasonable excuse fails or refuses to produce a document in accordance with a requirement made under subsection (1) shall be guilty of an offence against this Act.
