70 Offence to give false or misleading information

S. 70(1) amended by No. 35/2025 s. 26(1).

(1)

A person must not give information to the Workforce Inspectorate Victoria or the Commissioner that the person believes to be false or misleading in a material particular.

  1. In the case of a body corporate, level 5 fine (1200 penalty units maximum);

In any other case, level 7 imprisonment (2 years maximum).

A person must not produce a document to the Workforce Inspectorate Victoria or the Commissioner that the person knows to be false or misleading in a material particular without indicating the respect in which it is false or misleading and, if practicable, providing correct information.

  1. In the case of a body corporate, level 5 fine (1200 penalty units maximum);

In any other case, level 7 imprisonment (2 years maximum).
