Certificate where injury not stabilised
28LNA Certificate where injury not stabilised
S. 28LNA inserted by No. 102/2003 s. 17.
This section applies if, after making an assessment of degree of impairment under this Part, an approved medical practitioner is unable to determine the degree of impairment because the injury has not stabilised.
If, at the end of 6 months after that first assessment, an approved medical practitioner is unable to determine the degree of impairment but is satisfied that the degree of impairment resulting from the injury will satisfy the threshold level once the injury has stabilised, that approved medical practitioner may issue a certificate of assessment under this section.
The certificate of assessment must state that the approved medical practitioner is unable to determine the degree of impairment but is satisfied that the degree of impairment resulting from the injury will satisfy the threshold level once the injury has stabilised.
