Commissioner for Youth Justice to make custodial rules

(1)

The Commissioner for Youth Justice must make clear rules for children and young persons who are held in custody in a youth justice custodial centre.

(2)

For the purposes of subsection (1), the rules must set out—

(a)

the expectations of the behaviour to be modelled by children and young persons in custody in a youth justice custodial centre; and

(b)

the responsibility of each child or young person in custody in a youth justice custodial centre to comply with the custodial rules to the fullest extent possible; and

(c)

the ways in which a child or young person in custody in a youth justice custodial centre will be supported in complying with the custodial rules.
