Adoption Rules 1995

1. Citation

These rules may be cited as the Adoption Rules 1995 ^{1, 2}.

2. Interpretation

In these rules, “Registrar” means the Principal Registrar, a Registrar, or a Deputy Registrar of the Court.

In these rules, a reference to an “affidavit” includes a reference to the original or a copy of a document exhibited to the affidavit.

3. Exemption from rules

The Court may, in relation to proceedings under the Act, exempt any person from compliance with any procedural requirement of these rules, either wholly or subject to conditions, if it would be just to do so.
