2 Commencement
(1)
This Act shall come into operation on a day to be appointed by proclamation being a day appointed in accordance with section 68 of the Constitution 1.
(2)
A copy of The Commonwealth Gazette containing a notification of the day, which notice purports to be signed by one or more of the Metropolitans referred to in the Constitution is conclusive evidence that the day has been duly appointed in accordance with that section.
