Short title and commencement

In force

(1)

This Act may be cited as the Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Act 1970.

(2)

This Act shall come into operation —

(a)

where a day is not appointed under paragraph (b), on 1 October 1970; or

(b)

where a day is appointed by proclamation (being a day that is later than 1 October 1970) for the purpose of this paragraph, upon that day.
