1 Introduction

(1)

These by-laws are the Bayulu Community By-laws 2006.

(2)

These by-laws have been made by the Council of Leaders of the association called Bayulu Community Incorporated and approved by the Governor.

(3)

Bayulu Community Incorporated is an Aboriginal community to which the Aboriginal Communities Act 1979 applies.

(4)

As that Act says, these by-laws apply to you if you are on the community lands of that Aboriginal community and it does not matter if you are a member of the community or not.

(5)

Under that Act the Governor has said which lands are the community lands of the community.

(6)

You are a member of the community if you are a member of the association under its constitution.

(7)

These by-laws are in addition to the laws of Western Australia.
