27 Listing of threatened ecological communities
The Minister may, by order, list an ecological community as a threatened ecological community in one of the following categories —
critically endangered ecological community;
endangered ecological community;
vulnerable ecological community.
An ecological community is not eligible for listing as a threatened ecological community if it is a collapsed ecological community.
When deciding whether or not to list an ecological community as a threatened ecological community or to amend or repeal such a listing, the Minister must have regard only to matters relating to the survival of the ecological community.
An order made under subsection (1) may describe or identify an ecological community by reference to a map or plan held in the Department.
Section 258 applies to an order made under subsection (1).
