149 Use of funds in Modified Penalties Revenue Account
Money may be debited to the Modified Penalties Revenue Account for any or all of the following purposes —
the enforcement of this Act, including the operation of the infringement notice system under Part 5 Division 4;
the training of inspectors;
the cost of measures to control declared pests;
the cost of programs to promote public awareness of the requirements of this Act;
purposes approved by the Minister.
The amount that is to be debited to the Modified Penalties Revenue Account for the purposes referred to in subsection (1)(a), (b), (c) and (d) must be determined annually by the Director General and no other amount may be debited to the account for those purposes.
No amount may be debited to the Modified Penalties Revenue Account for a purpose referred to in subsection (1)(e) except as determined by the Minister.
