In this Part —
compliance purposes means any one or more of the following —
monitoring whether a provision of this Act has been, or is being, complied with;
investigating a suspected contravention of a provision of this Act;
conducting an inspection or test of equipment, machinery or a system, or an existing building, under arrangements mentioned in section 45(2)(d) or 93(2)(d);
ascertaining whether a building or an incidental structure is in a dangerous state or is unfit for human occupation;
taking action under section 118(2);
entry warrant means an entry warrant issued under Division 4;
occupier, of a place, includes any person who appears to have the control or management of the place;
place includes a vehicle;
relevant record means —
a building permit, demolition permit, occupancy permit or building approval certificate; or
a building record as defined in section 131(1); or
any other record or document that is granted, or required to be kept, under this Act; or
a record or document that contains information that is or may be relevant to a contravention of this Act.
